Whether you’ve been together forty years or forty minutes, there’s no mistaking that February is the month for lovers. In honor of this, we bring you a month of “Provocative Passion” that kicks off with the Austin return of the Polari Film Festival Centerpiece and festival favorite FOURPLAY (Kyle Henry, 2012).

Polari is proud to co-sponsor the local theatrical release of this daring and sexy film, which played to a packed Paramount Theatre at Polari25, and which previously made some mighty waves from Sundance to Cannes. Produced by a cast and crew of talented locals, we couldn’t be more pleased to support the continued success of this remarkable film.

FOURPLAY will play February 8th-14th at the Alamo Drafthouse Village. There will also be a special preview screening and fundraiser on February 7th, hosted by our friends at Austin Film Society, and with an after-party at Polari favorite, Cheer Up Charlie’s. Funds from the screening will help support the Texas Filmmakers’ Production Fund (see links below for further details).

Director and former Austinite Kyle Henry and local cast/crew (including Paul Soileau, Jose Villarreal and PJ Raval) will be present at most screenings to answer all your most intimate questions regarding this anthology of hot and stimulating tales.

Synopsis:
A quartet of provocative tales of erotic intimacy, ascending the gamut of outrageous farce to tender drama: In Skokie, dog-sitting lures a closeted lesbian closer to the woman of her dreams; in Austin, an adult arcade becomes the site of a crucial decision for a young straight couple; in Tampa, an insecure gay man is besieged by a series of wild bathroom encounters; and in San Francisco, a cross-dressing sex worker discovers the secret to pleasuring a bed-ridden client. From naughty to nice, from hilarious to touching, FOURPLAY’s four compact tales of sexual fantasy offer much to please. Shorts from the series premiered at Sundance, Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight, Outfest and Frameline.
