Tribeza Magazine has publicly announced something that we here at AGLIFF–Polari have known for quite some time: Executive Director Lindsay Lee Muse is pretty dang amazing. A brilliant event director, fearless community advocate and all-around lovable person, Lindsay has worked tirelessly for the past two years to ensure that Austin continues to provide a world-class forum for LGBTQIA cinematic expression and community bonding. We congratulate Lindsay on being chosen as one of Tribeza magazine’s “10 People to Watch” and thank her for everything she has done to further strengthen our organization and community as a whole. Check out the online December 2012 Tribeza issue, which includes other people making a difference in the Austin community and Lindsay’s “Austin Essential” picks.
Lindsay’s accolade comes on the heels of AGLIFF–Polari’s Austin Chronicle win for “Quirkiest Quarter-Life Crisis” last month (click here for the Chronicle’s hilarious and supportive write-up). So, things are feeling awfully rosy at AGLIFF–Polari, and we want to take a moment to thank everyone for all of the tremendous support. We couldn’t do any of this without our exceptional staff, board of directors, advisory board members, volunteers, sponsors, filmmakers and audience members, and we will be sure to “pay it forward” by channeling all of this love into Polari 2013 and our year-round programs. We really appreciate the recognition; thanks so much Austin!
