POLARI ORGANIZATION PROGRAMS & MEMBERSHIPS
The Polari Nonprofit Organization (previously AGLIFF – Austin Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival) promotes LGBTQIA empowerment and awareness through our screenings and community programs which seek to enlighten, educate and entertain our clients and patrons by providing a vital space for LGBTQIA self-expression. Polari Non-profit Programs include the Queer Youth Media project, My Queer Movie Project, Filmmaker Assistance Program and Family Screening Program, all of which culminate in the annual Polari Film Festival.
Support Polari through becoming a member of Polari today at POLARI 2013 MEMBERSHIP. Membership secures your registration to join us OCTOBER 16–20, 2013 for the Film Festival Program, industry panels, special events and the community bonding experience only Polari can deliver. All memberships are tax deductible and directly benefit the Polari Nonprofit Organization’s LGBTQI and ally community programs.
Based on the Polari history of “talking” to the LGBTQIA community through film programs, this year’s festival will move forward to the future to enhance our communities through innovative and cutting-edge programs and cinematic experiences.
Polari headquarters and film screenings will be based in Central Austin at local Austin theaters, with a more robust line up of film programming, educational panels, networking events and resources for LGBTQIA filmmakers, film enthusiasts and those seeking LGBTQIA awareness.
